What you need to know about a Registration Point.

What it consists of and what it is used for

This is the place to go if you want to get a Citizen Certificate in software support. This is a certificate that is issued free of charge at any ACCV Registration Point (PRU).

In addition, if you have purchased a cryptographic, Citizen’s or Entity Representative card, you must go to a PRU to have your certificate generated.

In our PRUs you can also renew or revoke your personal certificates.

How to apply for a certificate at a PRU

  1. Go in person

Choose the PRU of your choice and show up to apply for your certificate. Each PRU has a different schedule. Find out about yours.

  1. Identify

The operator will ask you for valid and legal documentation to identify you. Show your DNI, NIE, driving license or valid passport.

  1. Get your certificate

If it is in software, they will give you a Generation Code, so you can download the certificate at home in the next 15 days. If it is on a card, it will be activated in the PRU.

  1. Install your certificate

Use our manuals to install your certificate on your computer and devices.

Who can apply for a certificate at the PRU

Only the person who will be the holder of the certificate can request it.

A third party is allowed to request the certificate on behalf of the holder in the PRU only if it presents a notarial power of attorney where it is expressly granted specific capacity.

Information that could be useful

These are some of the most common questions we receive. If you do not find an answer to your question, contact us.

How much does it cost?

The Citizen Certificate in software support is free. Cryptographic support does have an associated cost, and you can consult and purchase it here.

The cost of a Certificate of Representative in a cryptographic card entity, as well as its acquisition, can be consulted here.

Can I go to any PRU?

All Registration Points (PRUs) listed here serve citizens.

Likewise, all the PRUs in this list issue certificates of Representative of entity in cryptographic card.

Do I have to make an appointment?

The opening hours and conditions of the Registration Points depend on the organization providing the service.

Before you go, check with the body where the PRU is located what conditions they have.

I can’t go to the PRU in person. What do I do?

You can authorize a third party to collect the certificate on your behalf, by means of a power of attorney with a specific clause.

It must expressly authorize the proxy to obtain the digital certificate on behalf of the power of attorney, providing the details of the subscriber and accepting the terms of the contract on his behalf.

My ID has expired. What do I do?

If your nationality is Spanish, you can identify yourself with your valid Spanish driver’s license or your valid Spanish passport. In both cases, your ID number and photo number must be included.

If you are of another nationality, these are the documents that are accepted for the correct identification in a PRU.

I have a power of attorney and I am not accepted. What do I do?

If you have delegated the collection of your certificate to a third party and you have done so with a general notarial power of attorney, this will not be accepted. The notarial power of attorney must contain a special clause in which your will is explicitly expressed so that another person can identify himself in your place.
