This type of identification has a cost associated with it and shall be paid exclusively by bank card. Certificates issued by Video ID are only issued on software support.

    Keep your mobile close by.

  • At the registration stage you will be asked for your phone number and e-mail account. We will send you an SMS with a code that you will have to validate and a link to the e-mail, so that you can access the video identification.

    Present your identity card.

  • During the recording, you will be asked to bring your chosen identification document close to the camera. This can be your DNI, TIE card, Spanish passport or Spanish driving licence. All of them must be valid.

    Download your certificate to your computer.

  • We will respond to your request within 5 working days. You will have to wait for us to review and validate it. We will inform you by e-mail and SMS of the resolution, and you will be able to download your certificate to a computer.

What is video identification?

Until now you had to identify yourself in person at a registration point if you wanted to obtain a personal certificate from us. With video identification that’s over.

With a camera on your mobile device, tablet or computer, we can identify you by video conference. And you can download your certificate without leaving home.

You will get a digital accreditation that can be used to securely identify and express will, consent or authorship. Just as we would in the real world using our handwritten signature and legal documents, but by electronic means.

Specifically, Citizen Certificates identify a natural person, whether as a citizen or as a self-employed person. It contains first name, last name, NIF / NIE and email.

It is valid for 30 months.

What video identification is for

It allows you to identify yourself remotely, by smartphone, tablet or computer, as long as it has a camera and a stable internet connection.

If you need a citizen’s certificate and you cannot come to one of our registration points, use this method of identification. You will get the same certificate as with in-person identification.

The price for obtaining the Citizen’s certificate on software support through the video-ID is € 6.

How do I download the certificate in software?

After the video identification you will receive your generation code by SMS to the telephone number you have given us. It has 10 alphanumeric characters and will expire 15 calendar days after it is obtained.

I have paid for the video ID and have not received the certificate.

The issuing of the certificate by video identification is not instantaneous.

Our operators must verify your application and approve it. When this happens you will receive the resolution to your phone number and email.

How long does it take to the ACCV to resolve my application?

Your application for a citizen’s certificate by video identification will be processed by us within 5 working days.

What is the maximum time limit I have to complete the video identification?

After payment you have 30 calendar days to complete the video identification. If after this time you have not been video identified, your request will be cancelled and your money will be refunded.

My application has been rejected.

We are sorry. If your request has been rejected, it is because we have not been able to verify your identity or the details you have provided do not match.

Unfortunately, this means that you cannot get your money back and will have to pay for a new application, should you need it.

What is the generation code?

It is sent to the telephone number you have given us, after the video identification phase. It has 10 characters and is case sensitive. It is used to securely download your certificate from the PRU. My generation code has expired.

We are sorry. You will have to pay a new video identification process to get a new code.

The previous one cannot be reactivated, as it is an irreversible security measure. Likewise, you will not be reimbursed for the amount of the previous video identification.

I do not receive the SMS with the generation code.

Please return to the video identification portal. Enter your NIF/NIE and, if you have an active request pending completion, you will have the option to resend the data for generation.

I get an error when downloading the certificate.

The only solution is to obtain a new certificate. If you do it by video ID you will have to go through the process from scratch, and pay the fee. The previous application will not be refunded.
